STS Defence awarded SC21 Bronze Award

STS Defence has been awarded the SC21 Bronze Award in recognition of their continued development and improvements in supply-chain performance.

The award is a recognised accreditation from the “Supply Chains for the 21st Century” programme which is designed to accelerate the competitiveness of the aerospace and defence industry by raising the performance of its supply chains.

Over the past few years, STS Defence has focused on a number of supply chain improvement initiatives which have led to this award as well as two Merit Accreditations in Nadcap Electronics (AC7120 & AC7121).

The SC21 programme has brought numerous benefits to the business by aligning its strategy to a continuous drive for improvement. It has led to the adoption of demanding business metrics and leaner production techniques, resulting in significant lead time reductions, further improvements with on –time delivery and an increase in Quality. All of which further demonstrates our commitment towards business improvement and industry excellence.

“STS Defence strives to achieve continuous supply chain improvement,” said Richard Papanicolaou, Managing Director. ”Having such closely aligned values and aspirations has enabled STS Defence to win this award with the help of our sponsor, BAE Systems Maritime.”
