XLR is part of Regional and City Airports (RCA) and operates four luxury private jet centres in the UK, at Liverpool, Birmingham, Bournemouth and Exeter. Bournemouth, Exeter and Norwich Airports are all owned and operated by RCA so making it strategically viable to team up with Saxon Air as an existing FBO at Norwich and combine forces.

The alliance allows XLR and Saxon Air to work together to attract new clients, drive additional business activity, and promote Norwich Airport as a premier destination for corporate aviation.

Chris Beer, Director of XLR Executive Jet Centres, said: “This collaboration brings together two leading businesses within the corporate aviation industry, combining expertise and resources to enhance service offerings at Norwich Airport. By working alongside Saxon Air, we aim to strengthen Norwich’s position as a key location for private and chartered aviation. With XLR’s established brand and reputation and Saxon Air’s established presence at the airport, we look forward to delivering exceptional services and welcoming new clients to Norwich.”

Josh Moy, Flight Support Manager at Saxon Air added: “Saxon Air Flight Support are delighted to join forces with XLR under a new co-branding agreement. The new and exciting joint approach opens up more opportunities for both parties, giving a wider network for XLR and offering access to a wider community of aircraft and operators for Saxon Air Flight Support. In addition both parties will share their knowledge base and training practices to improve their teams as well as the understanding of General aviation handling at its highest level. XLR Jet centres have FBO’s at Exeter, Birmingham, Liverpool and Bournemouth and the addition of Norwich in partnership with Saxon Air flight support, to add to this impressive portfolio.”

Norwich Airport offers a 1,842-metre runway capable of handling aircraft up to the size of a Boeing 757, making it an ideal choice for a range of business aviation needs.

Saxon Air’s FBO includes a dedicated lounge, a pilots’ rest area, and a spacious hangar capable of accommodating aircraft up to the size of a Challenger 604. The partnership will ensure that operators and passengers receive a seamless, high-quality experience when using the airport’s facilities.

XLR was named as the Air Charter Association’s (ACA) Handling Agent/FBO of the Year 2024 in October last year.
