The ASA Group opens offices in UK and USA

The ASA Group is opening offices in the UK and the USA to enhance global security services, appointing Tom McAdams as Country Manager and Business Development Manager for the UK and Matt Burdette as Country Manager and Vice President of Business Development for the USA.

The ASA Group is a opening of two new offices: ASA (UK) Ltd and ASA (USA) Inc. These significant expansions underscore its commitment to enhancing its service offerings globally.

Tom McAdams, now leading the business development efforts in the UK, brings unparalleled expertise in Close Protection (CP) and Hostile Environments Awareness Training (HEAT). His distinguished 27-year career in the British Army, including 18 years with the Special Air Service (SAS) where he achieved the rank of Warrant Officer, highlights his exceptional background in executive protection and security training. Tom's extensive experience includes advising Presidential Executive Protection teams, providing high-level security services to ultra-high-net-worth individuals and celebrities. Additionally, he served as a subject matter expert for the Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC) and the Security Industry Authority (SIA).

In the USA, Matt Burdette joins The ASA Group following a notable tenure as Director of Global Security at UnitedHealthcare Global. In this role, he was instrumental in risk management and threat mitigation for international business travellers and student organisations. Matt’s expertise encompasses oversight of physical security operations, intelligence and threat analysis, travel tracking, aviation security and crisis management. His leadership also included managing multiple evacuation operations in response to security threats and natural disasters. Additionally, he has authored articles on geopolitical issues, including Pakistan’s political landscape, surface-to-air missile threats and the impact of politicisation and duty of care on corporate intelligence.
