STI wins ECM contract with Allen-Vanguard
Allen-Vanguard - a US owned company with offices in the UK, USA and Canada - is a world leader in Counter-IED (Improvised Explosive Device) technology. It had previously used STI as its PCB electronics manufacturer for the last four years and will now move the complete manufacturing of its UK based electronics to STI’s manufacturing facility in Hook, Hampshire.
STI managing director, Simon Best, said “This is the kind of long-term partnership with a world class customer that allows STI to invest with greater confidence in System Integration and Test capabilities, securing jobs and providing exciting new opportunities for future cooperation. We have been continually investing in plant, machinery and skills to ensure we stay at the forefront of our industry – from PCB assembly to Box Build as well as the latest Management Execution System (MES) – to support our key customers.”
Allen-Vanguard president & ceo Dennis Morris said:“With their established manufacturing history in the UK, high quality certifications and the specific investment programme that it made, STI was a strong partner for outsourcing the manufacturing of our Electronic Counter- measures technology. It is critically important for Allen-Vanguard to remain at the forefront of its industry by ensuring that its partners share a common ethos and commitment to operate at the same exacting standards.”
