Since December 2025, five new managed helicopters have joined the fleet, taking the total rotary fleet to twelve aircraft - with further expansion underway and three more expected to join the AOC by April 2026. The milestone cements Saxon Air’s standing as a trusted operator delivering premium helicopter charter and aircraft management solutions nationwide.

The latest addition under Saxon Air’s management, a factory-new AgustaWestland AW109SP (G-ISPM), reflects the company’s continued commitment to operating modern, twin-engine VIP aircraft. With a diversifying fleet that now includes the Leonardo AW109S, AW109 Trekker, AW109SP, AW119Kx and Airbus H125, Saxon Air has established one of the newest and most versatile rotary portfolios in the UK market.

This rapid expansion is not incidental. It is the result of long-term relationships, operational credibility and a reputation for delivering discreet, efficient and commercially intelligent solutions.

Saxon Air combines the capability and infrastructure of a large corporation with the agility and ethos of a family-owned business. Clients benefit from direct access to decision-makers, flexible strategies and tailored management structures -without the rigidity.

Our standing with key stakeholders across regulators, OEMs, MROs and partner operators allow us to be a trusted partner, highly effective in securing aircraft support, maintenance continuity and regulatory alignment. All of which ensures minimal downtime and maximum reliability, which is vital for both owners and charter clientele.

As a dual AOC holder (both rotary and fixed wing), Saxon Air offers aircraft owners something few competitors can match; integrated access to both helicopter and jet charter markets through in-house teams.

Beyond charter, Saxon Air provides:

  • Aircraft sales and acquisitions
  • Management and consultation
  • Training support
  • CAMO and technical oversight
  • Advisory services on future air mobility and sustainable aviation strategy

Saxon Air maintains helicopter bases and crew across Denham, Elstree, Oxford, Redhill and Norwich, enabling flexible basing within 10 minutes flight time of London, the focal point of the UK charter market. This infrastructure ensures rapid response capability and consistent service delivery for high-frequency charter clients.

Saxon Air Helicopters is proud to be a back-to-back winner of The Air Charter Excellence Awards, having secured Helicopter Charter Operator of the Year in 2022 & 2023, and finalist status in 2024 & 2025 - recognition driven in large part by its uncompromising safety culture and operational standards.

Miles Riches, newly appointed Head of Rotary Sales at Saxon Air Helicopters, commented: “It’s an incredibly exciting time to be transitioning to my new role as Head of Rotary Sales at Saxon Air. Our rotary business is in the middle of a major phase of growth, with the fleet set to double from seven aircraft at the start of 2025 to fourteen by March 2026, positioning Saxon Air as one of Europe’s largest onshore charter helicopter operators.

The recent introduction of the AW109S, alongside brand new AW109SPs and Trekkers, further strengthens what will be the newest and most diverse fleet in the UK. Combined with our single-engine Airbus H125s, which plug a clear gap in the market, gives us a unique and highly flexible offering to our charter customers.

Ultimately, our success comes down to who we are as a business. We prioritise building long-term, personal relationships over transactions, and recognise that no two clients are the same; there is no one-size-fits-all approach, for both our management and charter clients. We have the strength and capability of a large corporate organisation, partnered with the ethos and values of the family-owned company that we are, allowing us to offer the very best of both worlds.”

Saxon Air’s integrated model positions it as a stable, forward-thinking partner. With continued investment in people, infrastructure and next-generation aircraft, the company is not only responding to market demand but helping to shape the future of premium onshore helicopter operations.

With sustained fleet growth, strategic basing across the South and South East, and a modern Leonardo-led rotary portfolio, Saxon Air continues to strengthen its position at the forefront of the UK’s onshore charter helicopter sector. Saxon Air enters 2026 with clear momentum, strong broker confidence and a defined growth trajectory - reinforcing its position as the operator of choice for discerning owners and charter clients alike.
