RepKnight crowned winners of Security Innovation Awards 2014

RepKnight has been awarded the prestigious Security Innovation Award 2014 at an awards ceremony hosted by security trade organisation, ADS Group.

Since it was established three years ago, RepKnight - an open source monitoring platform - has quickly established itself a leader in detecting and understanding what is being said on the web through social media, forums and RSS feeds in real-time. The tool developed by the company monitors and alerts users to spikes in data volumes and pinpointing geographical locations of the commentary. The software has already been trialled at the London 2012 Olympics, and RepKnight has subsequently won a number of domestic and international customers, with trials taking place on every continent.

Speaking about their success, John Reid, founder and CEO of RepKnight commented: “This award is the culmination of several years of very hard work for the company. We are very proud that since we set the company up in 2011, we have grown our workforce by more than fourfold and we have won many contracts both at home and overseas. Winning the Security Innovation Award recognises RepKnight’s progress and puts us in the best possible position to achieve our ambitious plans in a growing market with increasing cyber security requirements.”

Paul Everitt, chief executive of security trade organisation ADS Group commented: “The UK security industry has a global reputation for innovation and this award recognises outstanding UK expertise and technological advancement in this important sector. This year, we had an overwhelming response and received a record number of entries. The calibre was incredibly high and RepKnight was selected as the overall winner due to its meteoric growth and its innovative approach to addressing the challenge posed by significant increases in cyber activity.”
