The move comes as part of a wider business growth strategy to expand its international operations and support global military capabilities.
Based at the new NATO Powidz APS-2 (Army Prepositioned Stock) worksite, the now 150-strong M&E Global workforce is supporting a significant advancement in NATO’s operational readiness and strategic capabilities. The M&E Global personnel will maintain a brigade’s (approx. 5,500 personnel) worth of prepositioned stock in military vehicles and supplies currently used for a range of training exercises – including vehicle maintenance, parts and supplies management and, where needed, equipment distribution.
The expansion of M&E Global’s long-term labour force in Poland, a key logistical hub for military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, represents the next step in its growing international support capability. Having started with sites in Germany, M&E Global has expanded its footprint across 130 locations in 35 countries across Europe, the Middle East and South America. Recognising the rising demand within the defence sector, influenced by geopolitical dynamics and shifts in global leaderships, the company continues to grow to support its international clients around the world.
Chris Wilks, M&E Global’s General Manager, Poland, commented: “Since establishing our Polish entity six years ago, the growth of our operations has resulted in the need to expand our long-term workforce to better support the needs of our clients. Powidz APS-2 is a key location for NATO in Eastern Europe and building our presence here will allow M&E Global to continue to provide world-class logistics, engineering and technical services within the region, ensuring on-site military contractors are prepared for everything from training exercises to deployment into active use.”
Gordon Woodward (above), Managing Director of M&E Global, added: “As the European defence sector experiences continued growth, and geopolitical tensions show no sign of easing, increasing our operations through this long-term workforce is a key step in ensuring M&E Global can continue to meet growing customer demands across the continent.”
