Commemorating Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 1926-2022

During this time, the Government issued guidance and outlined principles for the public, organisations and businesses for observing the period of mourning including information on ceremonial events in central London.
ADS Chief Executive Kevin Craven said: “We at ADS are deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Across the whole of the UK, and around the world in nations of the Commonwealth, people will be shocked by this news.
“Throughout her long reign the Queen has shown an untiring commitment to public service, including through her close and deep relationship with the UK’s Armed Forces. Her sense of duty and resilience over decades was an inspiration to us all.
“The Queen’s passing is a loss to us all and on behalf of ADS and our members, our thoughts today are with the Royal Family.”
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sir Mike Wigston, said in a statement: “It is with overwhelming sadness that the Royal Air Force and Royal Auxiliary Air Force mourn the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
“During her long and glorious reign, she has been the embodiment of a life dedicated to the service of the nation and the Commonwealth and for that has been admired by millions around the world.”
“Her Majesty, as head of the armed forces, has been a constant source of inspiration and a pillar of strength to all who have been privileged to serve her.
“Those who had the honour of meeting Her Majesty will never forget their interaction and the deep sense of pride they felt in that moment.
“On behalf of everyone in the Royal Air Force, serving, retired and their families, I offer our deepest condolences to His Majesty The King and the royal family.”
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) Chair, Heather Baily and Chief Executive Michelle Russell issued a message of condolence to the Royal Family following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
'We are deeply saddened to learn the news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We join with the rest of the nation in mourning the loss of our monarch who served us all with such dignity, warmth and kindness for more than 70 years.
'On behalf of our Board and all of the staff at the Security Industry Authority (SIA), we extend our profound sympathy and sincere condolences to the Royal Family.'
A message from Andy Start, DE&S CEO, read: 'On behalf of the Defence Equipment and Support organisation, whether members of his loyal Armed Forces or His Majesty’s Civil Service, I offer our sincerest condolences, and deepest sympathy at the sad death of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
'Throughout her long and extraordinary life, Queen Elizabeth II’s sense of duty and service has been an example to us all, and it has been an honour to serve her.
'Many of our people have personal memories of the late Queen, including when she opened our headquarters in Bristol in 1996 and officially named the HMS Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier in 2014.
'We hope that, as the world comes together to mark and to mourn, the evident respect and love felt for his late mother by people from all nations will prove a source of strength to His Majesty and to his family in the days to come.

National Moment of Reflection
The public were invited to take part in a National Moment of Reflection to mourn the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and reflect on her life and legacy.
The National Moment of Reflection took place at 8pm on Sunday 18th September, the night before the State Funeral and was marked by a one-minute silence.
The silence could be marked privately at home, with friends and family, out on doorsteps or the street with neighbours, or at locally arranged community events and vigils.
Community groups, clubs and other organisations across the country were encouraged to take part and people overseas were also encouraged to observe the one-minute silence at 8pm local time.
A national two-minute silence also took place at the end of the State Funeral service on Monday 19th September.

Following the State Funeral, The Royal Family will not conduct any official engagements or visits for the next seven days, as they continue to observe another week of private mourning, as decreed by King Charles III.
