Vitalis Dudys, BGS Group Head of Commerce, commented: “We have a long-standing partnership with Ryanair, which has continued for more than 9 years. It is our pleasure to cooperate with the airline, having such a significant presence in aviation. This renewed agreement not only reflects the trust Ryanair places in our team but also reaffirms our ability to deliver reliable, efficient, and safe fuel supply services at multiple locations.”

BGS’s high-level performance, focus on safety standards and ability to adapt to the client's needs allowed the company to secure the contract with Ryanair and extend their long-term cooperation, which started in 2016.

Steven Fitzgerald, Head of Sustainability at Ryanair, noted: “Since the start of our cooperation, BGS has consistently met our highest standards and expectations, providing exceptional fuelling services. We look forward to continuing strengthening our partnership with BGS.”

With the fleet of 612 aircraft, Ryanair is the largest airline group in Europe. The company began flying to Kaunas in 2004 and two years later, it announced the establishment of its base at the airport. With Kaunas Airport now part of the agreement, BGS enhances operational support for Ryanair, enhancing its presence in key European locations.

BGS supports Ryanair with efficient and seamless fuel supply operations across multiple stations at Vilnius (VNO), Kaunas (KUN) and Palanga (PLQ), as well as at Ostrava (OSR), Riga (RIX) and Tallinn (TLL) airports.

BGS is a ground handling service company with operations at 10 different airports and part of Avia Solutions Group, the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance) provider, operating a fleet of 221 aircraft and the parent company of over 250 subsidiaries. The group offers a wide range of aviation solutions, including MRO, pilot and crew training, ground handling and other related aviation services.
