Babcock’s wider sustainability agenda underpins its corporate purpose: Creating a safe and secure world, together. Babcock CEO David Lockwood said: “At Babcock we are very supportive of the COP26 goals. As we journey to achieve our net zero emissions target by 2040, we are aware that it will present challenges, but we also welcome the opportunities the low-carbon transition presents. It will require strategic investment – in our people, technology and innovation.

Focusing on minimising the impact of our operations on the environment, ensuring the safety of our people and that we create a positive impact in the communities where we operate is very much at the heart of our strategy. We will continue to drive innovation throughout our value chain and aim to be a leader in low-carbon enablement.”
