Babcock will provide exclusive aviation support to the charity from bases at Perth and Aberdeen International Airport, 365 days a year.

SCAA is trusted by communities across Scotland to provide pre-hospital emergency care to those who need it most, particularly in some of the most remote and rural areas of the country. As part of the contract, Babcock will upgrade helicopter operations and increase night flying capability as part of the charity’s longer-term strategy to extend its operating hours.

“We are proud to have been by the charity’s side for 10 years, delivering essential helicopter emergency services and are thrilled to continue our collaboration with the charity as it looks to further enhance its services.”

"These service upgrades are the next step to ensure that SCAA achieves our ambition that ‘no one in Scotland should die because help can’t get there, in time’.”
