Avon Technologies to supply US military with NG IHPS

Wiltshire based Avon Technologies has this morning announced a $18 million (£14.4m) order from the US Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to supply its Next-Generation Intergrated Head Protection System (NG IHPS).

The NG IHPS is an advanced ballistic helmet which was first issued to US Army troops in February 2024, it provides higher levels of ballistic and fragmentation protection to troops on the ground, providing protection against rifle rounds while maintaining a similar weight profile.

Based in Melksham, Wiltshire, Avon Technologies provides respiratory and ballistic protection to militaries and law enforcement agencies worldwide, including supplying the UK military and US Army's gas masks and underwater rebreathers to the Germany Navy.

Avon Technologies has made significant progress on a turnaround over the last two years, with shares rising over 55% in 2024.
