The Karachi branch is close to Jinnah International Airport, which was the busiest airport in Pakistan pre-pandemic and the new Lahore branch is located near Allama Iqbal International Airport.

The expansion increases AMI’s presence in South Asia and is part of the company’s wider strategy to focus on the Asian market and key manufacturing and industrial hubs. With 250 network partners, these new locations further ensure the reliable movements of freight in particular between AMI locations, with the oversight of shipments from beginning to end.

AMI’s new branches will be offering a variety of wholesale air freight services, including door-to-door services on global import and export shipments; exports with consolidation and Back2Back; Click2Ship, its market leading platform for express shipments; X-ray screening and warehousing services; as well as customs clearance and documentation support.

The branches will be led by Nadeem Ahmed, Country Manager, who has had an extensive career in the freight forwarding industry in Pakistan. With previous roles at DHL Global Forwarding, flydubai Cargo, Network Cargo Service and Agility Logistics, his local knowledge and expertise of the cargo and express market will be invaluable as operations continue to grow.

Jonathon Clark, CEO, Air Menzies International, said: “We are excited to be entering the Pakistan market, as part of our strategy to establish a greater presence in the South Asian region. We have chosen two cities with huge potential and healthy projected economic growth of at least 5% over the next few years in both Karachi and Lahore. Looking ahead, this gives us huge confidence in a buoyant regional marketplace, where we can offer our renowned leading global freight forwarding and related logistics services.”
