LBA has appointed EDGE for cost management, programme management and project management services for the delivery phase of its LBA:REGEN Phase 1 project that will substantially enhance the quality of the terminal experience at the airport.

As part of a longstanding partnership with the airport, EDGE’s appointment follows the completion of its services during RIBA Stage 3 on the LBA:REGEN project, in which it undertook cost management and project management services.

Simon Cooper, associate director and aviation lead at EDGE, said: “We are delighted to be working further with LBA to deliver management services for the much-anticipated LBA:REGEN project, representing the largest scheme that EDGE is currently delivering in the sector.

“Our dedicated aviation experts have taken great pride in supporting LBA. We look forward to continuing to support the airport’s terminal development plans and enhancing the arrival experience as a key domestic and international connection in the north of the UK.”

EDGE has also been re-appointed to the LLA Project Management Services framework, which aims to streamline the project management tender process on airport works at London’s fourth biggest airport.

The consultancy has extensive experience in delivering cost and project management services for the airport. Under the previous LLA framework, EDGE’s work included project managing the refurbishment of multiple concessionaire projects, refurbishing landside and airside sanitary and washroom facilities, soil screening and the Stage 3 design of the airport’s central search area ceiling.

Simon Cooper added: “London Luton Airport is a longstanding client that EDGE has established a strong relationship with through the delivery of high-quality management services. It stands to the testament of our team of aviation experts that we have secured this framework re-appointment, which will deliver a pipeline of projects until at least 2026.”
