Increasing aircraft production delivers £2bn boost

Deliveries of 87 single aisle and 33 widebody aircraft in October set a new record for the month and took year-to-date deliveries to a total of 1,138.

These deliveries are worth up to £2.4bn to UK industry, and those for the first 10 months of the year are worth up to £22bn as the UK continues to benefit from rising global production.

The encouraging delivery figures come in the wake of a record-breaking Dubai Airshow, which saw new orders and commitments worth for up to 746 aircraft announced by manufacturers.
