Gresham appoints Martin Brabham as Sales Director

Salisbury based defence and commercial power conversion specialist, Gresham Power Electronics, has appointed Martin Brabham as Sales Director.

Martin (above) has a wealth of experience in the power conversion industry having held directorships with major international power supply manufacturing companies and distributors.

Jake Moir, Managing Director of Gresham Power, commented: “Martin joins us at an exciting time. Our defence markets are performing well and our increased commercial product offerings and continuing investment in people will make 2018 a standout year. Martin is our new Managing Director designate and we plan for him to take up this position in the summer of 2018.”

Gresham Power has over 60 years’ experience of manufacturing power conversion products and has recently joined the Power Solutions Group of Coolisys Technologies which will increase their product offering and presence in defence and commercial markets in 2018.

The Coolisys Technologies Power Solutions Group has been formed after recent international acquisitions by its US holding Company. Gresham has widened its technology base and taken advantage of the expertise and synergies of a new ensemble of companies including Microphase Corporation, Digital Power and Power-Plus.

Commenting on his appointment Martin Brabham said: "I am very happy to be joining a company with the credentials of Gresham Power and leverage the new resources at our disposal to greatly increase commercial sector sales as part of the expanded Coolisys Technologies Power Solutions Group. We will now be able to offer a global resource that will benefit all of our customers.”

Inward investment in Gresham Power will include increasing engineering resources, expanded product offering and increased distribution channels. An immediate expansion of a mature product portfolio will include a range of Ultra High Density (UHD) AC/DC Power Supply Series that meet international safety requirements serving medical, industrial and commercial applications. Expansion of in-house capabilities includes custom design and modification, value-added technical support will stem from synergies within the globally staffed Power Solutions Group for Coolisys Technologies

Gresham Power already offers industrial, medical, CompactPCI, rail, transportation, test and laboratory power solutions from various manufacturers. The present open frame power supplies, modular configurable and encapsulated power supplies, programmable power supplies, electronic loads and DC:DC converters will now be rapidly expanded by leveraging the access to products of Gresham's new Power Solutions Group partners.

Gresham’s vast experience of designing and manufacturing defence power systems is available to customers to provide modified standard or full custom power supply designs when required. Gresham can also supply a new range of defence power products for land-based and vehicle applications to complement its world-class naval power systems that are utilised by over 20 different countries throughout the world.
