Flybe celebrates inaugural Southend to Budapest flight
Above: Budapest Airport’s Airline Development Manager, Máté Ritter presents a traditional cake, welcoming the inaugural London Southend Airport flight on Thursday 4th May.
Expecting a 14% year-on-year increase in UK passenger traffic, the Hungarian gateway will serve up to 1.5 million round-trip passengers to and from the UK capital this year.
Celebrating the arrival of a new airline partner to Hungary’s capital city, Flybe’s link joins existing services with other carriers to London Gatwick, London Heathrow, London Luton and London Stansted – making the London market by far the largest city pair served from Budapest.
The new service further consolidates the UK’s position as one of the largest country markets served from Budapest.
