Commsoft continues to grow its African footprint
This is the thirteenth new OASES contract signed in the first half of 2017, covering the aviation engineering activities of fifteen direct customers in twelve different countries – and further strengthens Commsoft’s footprint in Africa.
Communications Software's OASES (Open Aviation Strategic Engineering System) is amongst the most successful aviation engineering and maintenance systems in the world. A ‘best of breed’ MRO IT system, designed by engineers for engineers, OASES is easy to use whilst being functionally highly sophisticated. It is structured in a modular format to allow for scalability and AWA has chosen the Core, Airworthiness, Planning, Materials, Line Maintenance Control, Production, Commercial and Warranty modules.
AWA has its main hub at Kotoka International Airport and operates scheduled flights from Accra to Kumasi, Takoradi and Tamale in Ghana and international services to Lagos and Abuja in neighbouring Nigeria. The airline also offers charter services and plans to operate additional scheduled flights along the west coast of Africa and then to other regions of the continent and other continents.

The OASES software solution is available either to be installed on-site on a local hardware server, or it can be accessed via the internet through OASES cloud hosting service, which avoids the need to install any additional hardware.
